“Let Light Shine out of Darkness Again.”

The conditions are right. All around us is a gathering thick darkness. It swirls in the back alleys of hearts that are losing hope. Although the Light has come into the world, squinting eyes of rebellious humanity resist its radiance. So many people, overcome by hatred, find themselves in love with darkness. It is their cloak of secrecy. It stills the unwanted voice of conscience.

Darkness leads to more darkness until it becomes the illusion of illumination.

Jesus said it this way. "The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” Matthew 6:22-23.

The vision-politic is blind. They are leading the blind. We should re-label Network News. Let’s call it the “Network Olds.” There’s little that brings light in the constant “group-speak.” Anti-Theism is fast becoming an acceptable religion of this growing darkness. Jesus would again say, “How great is the darkness!”

Are you encouraged yet? Read on. The conditions are right for another great awakening. Paul ties the beginning of creation to the beginning of a new creation. Let’s let the Spirit of God awaken us to this possibility:

2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

God can do this again. He can do it at His good pleasure. We call it revival for saints. We call it good news dawning on lost but seeking hearts. We can call it preparation of the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ coming like lightning flashing across the world, irradicating this present darkness.

Ever before the Day of the Lord dawns, that light can shine again and again, brighter and deeper, in a way that reveals to you and me the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

Conditions are ripening, I believe, for a dramatic dawning of light at the command of the God of creation. Let’s pray for it. Let’s long for it. Let’s believe God for a spectacular move of the Spirit that sweeps thousands into the Kingdom of Light.

Until then, keep seeking more of His fullness – a fuller revelation of His glory. Say “amen” to you listen once again to the intercessory prayer of Jesus for us to behold more of His glory:

John 17:22-24. 22 "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. 24 "Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

“Yes, Lord. I want what You want. More of Your glory to be revealed in me, and through me until that day.”
